Job summary

Scotiabank Mexico City seeks a senior leader to drive advanced retail credit risk modelling within the International Banking COE. You will coordinate multi-country initiatives, translate complex analyses into actionable insights, and promote best practices across the region.

You’ll oversee model governance, feature engineering, and performance monitoring, while presenting executive materials to risk committees and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of credit risk modelling, scorecards and analytics in financial services.
• Knowledge of model governance, validation and IFRS 9 / Basel considerations.
• Experience coordinating multi-country initiatives and influencing without authority.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analyses of advanced retail credit risk models and scorecards.
• Coordinate regional COE initiatives with International Banking country teams and stakeholders.
• Develop diagnostics and recommendations to improve model performance and calibration.
• Prepare and present executive materials for senior management and risk committees.
• Foster consistent decision-making and governance across the region.
