Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a major manufacturing plant located near Acapulco, Guerrero , requires an experienced Jefe de Mantenimiento y Limpieza de Instalaciones Industriales to lead their facilities management team. This pivotal role ensures that all industrial premises, machinery, and equipment are maintained in optimal condition, operating safely and efficiently, while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and environmental compliance. The successful candidate will be a skilled manager with a strong background in industrial maintenance, a deep understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to oversee both preventive and corrective maintenance programs, as well as routine and specialized cleaning operations within a demanding industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of all maintenance and cleaning activities for the industrial facility in Acapulco .
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure to minimize downtime.
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians and cleaning staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure strict adherence to all industrial safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Oversee the cleaning of production areas, warehouses, offices, and exterior grounds to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for procurement of materials and services.
• Plan and execute special projects such as facility upgrades, equipment installations, and deep cleaning initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to ensure continuous production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Proven experience in managing cleaning operations within an industrial context.
• Excellent understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards or equivalent).
• Demonstrated leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is highly desirable.
