Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Head of Software Development to lead the engineering team in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. This senior role requires deep technical background and strong management skills to guide the software lifecycle, deliver scalable and innovative solutions, and set architectural standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software architecture, project management, and team leadership, with a passion for driving technological excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in leading software development teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of various programming languages, frameworks, and software architecture patterns.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Define and implement software development best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
• Drive innovation in software development technologies and methodologies.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
