Globant in Monterrey is seeking a Team Lead (Full Stack) to lead a distributed engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 6–9 years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in Java/J2EE and cloud technologies.

You will design scalable full-stack applications and mentor a team while leveraging AI-driven engineering practices. Relocation expenses to Monterrey will be covered upon hiring, and the role emphasizes collaboration, Agile delivery, and technical leadership.

Formación

We are currently looking for a Team Lead (Full Stack) to lead a distributed engineering team delivering enterprise‑grade applications and cloud‑native solutions across global environments.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical leader passionate about modern full‑stack development, Agile delivery, DevOps, and AI‑assisted engineering workflows.

What You’ll Do

Full‑Stack Engineering

• Design, develop, test, and support scalable full‑stack applications using Java/J2EE, Spring MVC/REST APIs, Groovy, React or Angular, and TypeScript.
• Build high‑performance APIs and distributed microservices.
• Develop reusable UI components and modern front‑end architectures.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of Software Developers and QA Automation Engineers.
• Drive code quality, engineering standards, and delivery predictability.
• Conduct code reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching sessions.
• Support sprint planning, capacity management, and backlog prioritization.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing engineering culture.

AI‑Driven Engineering Practices

• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and M365 Copilot.
• Implement agent‑mode workflows to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and refactoring.
• Apply AI‑driven insights to improve code quality, testing coverage, and PR review cycles.
• Support Spec Kit‑driven development practices and AI‑enabled SDLC optimization.

Cloud, DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Build and deploy cloud‑native applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate on observability, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• 6–9 years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Java/J2EE ecosystems.
• 2+ years leading teams or acting as a hands‑on Tech Lead.
• Strong expertise with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot/REST APIs, React or Angular, TypeScript, microservices architecture, SQL & NoSQL databases, Git workflows and CI/CD practices, Docker & Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience driving Agile/SAFe delivery practices and engineering governance.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with AI‑assisted engineering workflows is highly valued.

Globant will cover relocation expenses to Monterrey for candidates hired for this position. This benefit applies only upon official hiring, for candidates with a Seniority level of Semi Senior Advanced (Ssr Adv) or above, and in accordance with the company’s internal policies.
