About the Role.

Java Backend Developer with experience as a Technical Lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Design and develop new software solutions and maintain existing software systems.
• Identify development opportunities and prioritize projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the team meets deadlines and requirements.
• Provide technical oversight and ensure software quality standards are met.
• Advises and reviews technical designs, implementations, and tests across multiple small-to-medium projects or a large project.

Requirements

• Must have 6+ years professional experience in software development with Java & JEE.
• Hands-on coding and development with focus on team leadership and code review.
• Experience in Web and Services development including microservices using Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, JPA/Hibernate, Swagger, API gateway and APIGEE.
• Event Driven Architectures on platforms such as Solace or Kafka.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, EKS, and/or ECS).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm).
• Ability to convert technical specifications from the design team or third-party vendors into software implementation.
• Experience building and supporting cloud based and client/server applications.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools like Git.
• Proficiency with Windows- and Linux-based operating systems, including software installation, light administration, and simple scripting.

Required Languages

• Advanced English (85%).
