• Experiencia en jardinería y paisajismo, preferiblemente en el sector hotelero.

About the Gardener role:

The Gardener is responsible for the care, maintenance, and beautification of the landscaped areas of the resort, including gardens, green areas, paths, and terraces. This position has a direct impact on the image of the resort, as a well-maintained natural environment contributes to an exceptional experience for guests. The Gardener should possess gardening skills, knowledge of plants, and a focus on detail and the aesthetics of the environment.

What will you do in this position?

• Maintenance of Green Areas: Care for and maintain the landscaped areas of the resort, including lawns, plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs, ensuring their good health and presentation.
• Watering and Fertilization: Monitor and control irrigation systems to ensure proper watering, and apply fertilizers and plant care products as needed.
• Pruning and Trimming: Perform pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants, and trimming of lawns to maintain a neat and healthy appearance of the gardens.
• Pest and Disease Control: Identify and address issues related to pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies in plants.
• Floral Design and Decoration: Collaborate in the design and beautification of gardens and outdoor spaces, placing and maintaining decorative plants, flowers, and gardening elements.
• Maintenance of Tools and Equipment: Ensure the good condition of gardening tools and other equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report any damage or need for repair.
• Cleaning and Order: Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring that landscaped areas are free of trash, dry leaves, or other waste.
• Collaboration with Other Departments: Work in coordination with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure that outdoor areas are well cared for and that the resort offers a pleasant environment for guests.
• Compliance with Regulations: Follow labor safety regulations, chemical handling, and sustainable environmental practices while performing all gardening tasks.

What will be necessary for this role?

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience working in gardening, landscaping, or related fields, preferably in the hotel or resort sector.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of plant care, pest control, irrigation techniques, pruning, and use of fertilizers and phytosanitary products.
• Skills: Ability to perform physical and manual tasks outdoors. Good physical endurance and skill with gardening tools.
• Weather Conditions: Ability to work in variable weather conditions (under the sun, rain, etc.) and on diverse terrains.

*This job requires applicants to have valid work authorization in Mexico and Spanish is essential.*
