Job summary

PolyWorks Mexico, part of InnovMetric, seeks an IT Support Intern for a 4‑month program starting January 2027 in Puebla. You will join a coach-led track and gain hands-on experience in infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud IT practices while contributing to daily IT operations.

You will learn to work across cross-functional teams, participate in automation initiatives, and expand both soft and technical skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Student in final semester of an Engineering degree (Computer Science, IT or similar).
• Nice to have: networking, virtualization, server management, troubleshooting and PowerShell scripting.
• Demonstrate responsibility, adaptability and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT team in daily tasks and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and OS issues.
• Configure, monitor, and update servers and workstations.
• Maintain LAN/WAN networks and IT security.
• Learn to implement PoCs for on‑premises and cloud infra.

Overview

Then this program is just right for you! As an IT Support Intern, you will be assigned to a Coach for a period of 4 months starting January 2027.

Responsibilities

Your main activities during this period will be the following:

• You will be trained in infrastructure and automation processes of a software company
• You will participate in the research of new IT technologies
• You will assist the IT team in daily activities such as:
  • Troubleshooting relating to software, equipment, and operating systems
  • Configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and updating servers, PC, and workstations
  • Maintaining and monitoring LAN / WAN networks
  • Ensuring IT security
  • Maintaining audio and video systems
  • Installing and updating software (operating systems and production software)
• You will learn to work in a cross-functional team
• You will implement proof of concept projects for on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure, using automation technologies

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a student of the last semester of a bachelor´s degree in Engineering (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology or similar)
• Nice to have skills: networks, virtualization, server management, troubleshooting and support to computer systems, and scripting skills (preferable using powershell)
• Demonstrate responsibility, tolerance, perseverance, work ethics, proactivity, and adaptability
• Candidate must have intermediate/advanced English communication skills
