Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience leading software development organizations, including leadership of leaders.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and improving delivery predictability.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team leaders.
• Strong organizational leadership, communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
• Experience designing career development frameworks or leadership programs is a plus.
• Master’s degree in engineering management, business administration, organizational leadership, or a related discipline is preferred.

Overview

As our engineering organization continues to grow, we are creating a new leadership role to help scale our teams, strengthen our leadership culture, and deliver software that creates meaningful business impact.

As Director of Software Development, you will guide Software Development Team Leaders, promote leadership consistency, and help the organization evolve while preserving the people-oriented culture that defines us.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Coach and support Software Development Team Leaders through regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, leadership coaching, and continuous feedback
• Strengthen leadership consistency while empowering teams to adapt to their products, people, and priorities
• Support talent development through succession planning, leadership development initiatives, and the evolution of career growth frameworks across development teams
• Foster a culture of trust, ownership, accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth

Delivery & Operational Excellence

• Support Agile-based, high-frequency software delivery across development teams
• Improve delivery predictability through organizational coaching, continuous improvement, and data-driven practices
• Help Team Leaders identify and remove impediments while strengthening collaboration, planning, and knowledge sharing

Business Impact & Organizational Strategy

• Translate strategic business objectives into clear organizational initiatives
• Monitor organizational health, leadership effectiveness, delivery performance, and team engagement
• Act as a strategic partner to senior engineering leadership to improve scalability, leadership effectiveness, and business outcomes

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related engineering discipline
• Have at least 5 years of experience leading software development organizations, including experience leading leaders
• Show strong understanding of Agile principles and experience improving delivery predictability
• Demonstrate ability to coach, mentor, and develop team leaders
• Possess strong organizational leadership, communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Demonstrate advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written

Will be considered an asset:

• Have experience designing career development frameworks, leadership programs, or organizational growth initiatives
• Hold a master’s degree in engineering management, business administration, organizational leadership, or a related discipline
