Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to support and troubleshoot a variety of systems and devices. This role involves providing technical assistance to end-users, maintaining system performance, and ensuring seamless IT operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems; familiarity with Mac and Linux (Ubuntu) preferred.
  • Ability to write and debug scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and write in English at a B1 level or higher.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Windows operating systems and assist users with Mac and Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Write and maintain scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
  • Manage and configure network devices, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and support basic network administration tasks.
  • Use and maintain ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications.
  • Document technical procedures and solutions to build a knowledge base for end-users and team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions and address technical challenges.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LDAP and Google Workspace administration.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or Linux Essentials are a plus.

This position is full time in Queretaro office with one day of Home Office per week. We are only considering candidates who:

  • Are Mexican citizens or legally authorized to work in Mexico, and
  • Currently reside in Querétaro or are willing to relocate.
