Formación

IT Specialist, TruckMate Tasks and responsibilities in short

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining TruckMate, acting as a bridge between business, internal teams in Global IT and the external vendor. The role includes advanced support (2nd and 3rd line), close collaboration with different business roles, colleagues in Global IT, the vendor’s support and consulting teams, and hands-on involvement in support, configuration, development, interaction with business and implementation of important customer accounts, with a focus on support, system configuration and integration mapping.

Application Support & Maintenance
  • Provide 2nd and/or 3rd line support for incidents and service requests.
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and user satisfaction through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues.
  • Monitor application health and performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process or system improvements.
  • Ensure timely communication of known issues, planned downtimes, or changes affecting business operations.
Configuration & Change Management

Help TruckMate support the business goals by making improvements, updates, and new features for better performance, security, and ease of use in collaboration with business and Process, Data and Digitalization team.

Configure and customize applications according to business requirements.

Manage software updates, patches, and upgrades.
Support release management activities including deployments to test and production environments.

Implementation of Key Customer Accounts
  • Participate in onboarding and implementation projects for strategic customers using the TMS.
  • Configure the application according to customer-specific transport and logistics requirements.
  • Design, document, and implement integration mappings between the TMS and internal/external systems (e.g., EDI, API).
  • Work with allocated internal colleagues, Project Managers, and vendor consultants to ensure successful and timely go-lives.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of configuration and integrations during implementation phases.
User & Stakeholder Interaction

Act as a liaison between users, developers, and vendors.

Provide user support and training on large customer accounts.

Gather and translate business requirements into technical tasks.

Application Lifecycle Management

Evaluate and recommend new solutions or upgrades.

Documentation

Maintain relevant technical documentation, including procedures, configuration guides, and troubleshooting steps as well as supporting the Road IT Team with KCS sparring, or articles.

Ensure up-to-date application knowledge is shared with colleagues in Road IT.

Vendor management

Work closely with the vendor’s team to clarify, follow up, and resolve reported forwarded incidents and change requests.

Escalate and follow up on unresolved vendor-related issues.

Collaborate with vendor consultants on system enhancements, configurations, and releases.
