Summary
The IT Process Engineer I has a dual responsibility. The first is to assist with the formalization of IT processes focusing on change, configuration, incident, and problem management, leading to service level management, service and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC), and the Test Life Cycle. The second role involves managing day-to-day operational activities to ensure the process functions as designed, revisiting or introducing processes using the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive assessment, planning, and authorization of changes to the IT production environment.
- Minimize service disruptions due to improper change implementation.
- Identify root causes of incidents and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure service stability, timeliness, and accuracy, focusing on incident prevention.
- Support processes by providing accurate data related to the production environment, configuration items, and their relationships.
- Understand and interpret IT organizational and Jabil process requirements.
- Participate in designing and implementing responsibilities, tools, and methodologies for cost-effective, timely, and effective services supporting business strategy.
- Develop process tools and templates to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation and ensure the accuracy of the process information repository.
- Oversee daily administration and operation of responsibilities and related tools at global, regional, and site levels.
- Ensure process controls are monitored and compliant with audit requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Monitor process performance using KPIs, prepare, and analyze management reports.
- Participate in process and tool improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical consulting and mentoring on process utilization.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with process utilization and results.
- Share ideas and information within the department.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal and written formats.
- Encourage team input and ask questions.
- Provide regular updates to managers.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through process and system streamlining.
- Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis and metrics management.
- Ensure procedures and work instructions are efficient and non-redundant.
- Suggest and implement best practices and new ideas for improvement.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer service by solving problems effectively and prioritizing customer issues.
- Discuss complex issues with reporting managers.
- Establish new measurement systems where applicable.
- Share knowledge and best practices across Jabil facilities.
- Maintain 100% adherence to company policies, including health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of data and proprietary information.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline. 0-2 years of IT experience.
Language Requirements
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements
Extended use of computers, sitting or standing for long periods, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with some time on the manufacturing floor, noise levels from low to moderate.
