Your role:


The IT Operations Engineer will play a critical role as the second-level point of contact for incident management, configuration, and issue resolution for both healthcare clients and external partners (e.g., Siemens AG and other external companies). The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of directly relevant experience in an IT support/administration environment, preferably within the healthcare sector. Additionally, the candidate must be bilingual in English and either Spanish or Portuguese. We offer 8 weeks of training to all new team members. Since our training center is in Germany, candidates must be willing and prepared to travel or assist remotely.


Your expertise:


  1. Support the Incident Management process to resolve Incidents - create, analyze, resolve and verify incidents.
  2. Serve as the second point of contact, providing expert technical support for IT networks and/or applications to first level and external healthcare clients.
  3. Oversee incidents backlog and define measures to reduce rising trends in backlogs.
  4. Document root-causes, solutions and proactively create Knowledge Base articles for resolved or re-occurring incidents.
  5. Support customers experiencing technical or workflow-related application issues, demonstrating deep knowledge of the clients' clinical workflows.
  6. Apply troubleshooting techniques to analyze and resolve IT network and cybersecurity issues raised by clients.
  7. Effectively analyze, document, and independently resolve most technical issues.
  8. Accountability for Operations Security compliance.
  9. Utilize problem-solving techniques and skills to manage content within the client's infrastructure and ensure data integrity.
  10. Liaise with other locations, coordinate the local team, and work with the functional lead and/or country manager to identify and implement necessary actions. Create Incident tickets, verify input and provide resolution (e.g. by knowledge base entries).

Requirements/Skills:


  1. Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields with a focus on technology and/or networks.
  2. Progressive years of experience in a technical support or administration role dealing with software, hardware, networks, databases, and/or desktop equipment.
  3. Bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
  4. Extensive knowledge of network administration, LAN/WAN protocols (FTP, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, TCP/IP, Websocket, websocket over IPSec, Firewalls).
  5. Core skills in Networking, Cisco Routing, and Switching.
  6. Understanding of Cloud concept - basic understanding of AWS, Basic understanding of Kubernetes.
  7. VPN configuration and troubleshooting across multiple firewall brands (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, WatchGuard, SonicWall).
  8. Good understanding and experience of ITIL framework practice for Service Operation (certificate would be a plus).
  9. Certifications: CISCO CCNA and/or CCNP.
  10. Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
  11. Able to self-organize incoming topics, prioritize them and working structure.
