This role involves second-level support for Windows and Linux servers, ensuring operational excellence and security remediation across multiple locations. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in managing complex IT environments and possess strong analytical skills to enhance performance standards.

Formación

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Execute the optimization and standardization of Mexico's compute infrastructure by implementing remediation actions, driving cost-efficiency initiatives, and ensuring alignment with global IT standards, while maintaining operational excellence and CMDB integrity, especially within the complex Mexico region.

Your Impact

As IT Infra & Ops Analyst, your responsibilities include:

  • Second-level support for Windows, Linux, physical servers, and appliances.
  • Ensuring availability of compute infrastructure across 14 critical locations through managed service providers for compute and database escalations, managing around 56 servers and appliances.
  • Security remediation for IT servers and databases, including configuration management, patching, OS hardening, and vulnerability management.
  • Inventory management of IT servers and databases for the region.
  • Liaising with Sector I&O and Apps Leads across the region.
  • Enhancing Vulnerability Management Performance (VMP) efficiency through collaboration with the Vulnerability Management team.
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Experience

  • 3+ years supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • 2+ years supporting Microsoft SQL & Oracle Servers.
  • 2+ years supporting data centers, hardware, and enterprise solutions like Storage, Rubrik, VMWare, UPS, and Backup solutions.

Technical Skills

  • Windows and Linux OS
  • Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database
  • Enterprise hardware including Storage, Rubrik, VMWare, UPS, and Backup solutions
  • Azure Cloud
  • Server and Database Security
  • IT Service Management processes

Non-Technical Skills

  • Experience with Agile methodology.

  • Interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict management.
  • Multitasking and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish for LATAM support.
  • Occasional travel for IT outages and technology refreshes.
