This is a position with grade 13.

This position reports to IS Global CX Analytics Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and deployment of AI-powered applications, including designing and building AI interfaces, services, constructing AI-enabled infrastructure, and evaluating AI systems. The Machine Learning Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to incorporate AI capabilities into a wide range of products and services. The work model for the role is contributing to the IS Services. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Running end-to-end development cycle of AI solutions based on business requirements
2. Following best software development practices to ensure high-quality products and adherence to design objectives
3. Evangelizing ABB and internal teams on potential opportunities in AI
4. Collaborating closely with data scientists, engineers, and service owners to build products end-to-end on key initiatives

Qualifications For The Role

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computational or Applied Mathematics, or related areas (preferably with machine learning specialty)
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an IT environment
• Experience in application development, model development, infrastructure: prompt engineering, context construction, inference optimization, dataset engineering, compute management, data management
• Experience with AI infrastructure, such as cloud platforms and containerization (Docker)
• Development experience with Azure AI Studio/OpenAI, Hugging Face, .NET Framework, API Management, and Azure infrastructure (AWS/GCP optional)
