Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced MLOps and AI Automation Engineer to join a fully remote team in Mexico. You will build and maintain scalable ML infrastructure and pipelines to accelerate model deployment.

The ideal candidate blends software engineering with ML operations, with hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will work closely with data scientists and engineers to streamline AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or software engineering with a focus on AI/ML.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their ML services.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, essential for a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage end-to-end MLOps pipelines for model development, training, validation, and deployment.
• Automate AI workflows using CI/CD best practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for deploying and scaling ML models on cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for AI models in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and operationalization of models.
• Manage containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Develop scripts and tools to automate common AI/ML tasks and infrastructure management.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of AI/ML systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MLOps infrastructure and deployed models.
• Stay current with emerging MLOps tools, techniques, and best practices.
