Overview

Fresh-Out New Grad Software Order Engineer — Cuernavaca, Morelos (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Fresh-Out Software Order Engineer who is primarily responsible to develop and testing of bank chip programming for LATAM. Develops and validates personalization solutions to deliver to factories as well as providing support.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Develop proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools and apply this knowledge to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Migrate legacy programs and reports to the new technology following the guidelines established by the corporation.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, team leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Participate in the development of software applications, modules, and components, following established coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software components, identify and resolve issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, error-free code.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work within project timelines, proactively communicating progress, challenges, and potential risks to project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, helping to identify and resolve software-related issues in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • RECENT graduate (2023 - 2024) in software engineering, computer science or any relevant field; and / or equivalent experience.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in programming languages (Java, C / C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.), reporting tools (Jasper) and databases (SQLite, Oracle, MariaDB, MySQL, etc.).
  • Intermediate-advanced English proficiency, oral and written.
  • Strong communicator and negotiator, analytical, results-oriented, customer-oriented, time management, autonomous, honest, and empathetic, with a strong focus on helping customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
