Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, operations, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing operations and transportation logistics.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient in data analysis and process mapping.

About the Role

Our client, a major distribution and logistics company operating in Torreón, Coahuila , is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to spearhead efficiency improvements across their operations. This hybrid role requires a candidate who can blend on-site analysis with strategic remote planning. The focus will be on optimizing warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and overall workflow to drive significant cost savings and enhance service levels. You will utilize data analysis, process mapping, and simulation tools to identify inefficiencies and implement practical, sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing logistics and warehousing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing inventory control, space utilization, and material flow.
• Design efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize operational costs.
• Evaluate and improve transportation routes, carrier performance, and fleet utilization.
• Utilize data analytics to forecast demand, plan labor requirements, and manage resource allocation.
• Implement Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve operational quality.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all logistics functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, operations, or logistics management.
• Strong understanding of warehousing operations, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation tools.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies is required.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, requiring presence in Torreón, Coahuila on designated days.
• Experience with WMS and TMS systems is a plus.
