Un fabricante líder de vehículos comerciales busca un Ingeniero de Desarrollo de Producto en México. La posición implica validar y certificar componentes de autobuses, mantener comunicación con distintos departamentos y supervisar la calidad del ensamblaje. Se requiere un ingeniero con al menos 2 años de experiencia en la industria automotriz y sólida capacidad analítica. Ofrecemos un entorno colaborativo y un compromiso con la diversidad.

Formación

• 2 años de experiencia en la industria automotriz, con experiencia previa en el área de ingeniería.
• Conocimientos en mecánica/electromecánica automotriz, análisis de datos y manejo de equipos de medición.

Responsabilidades

• Planificar y ejecutar pruebas necesarias para la validación de nuevos proyectos.
• Mantener la certificación y calibración de equipos de prueba.
• Conceptualizar, diseñar, adaptar y documentar sistemas y componentes del vehículo.

Ingeniero de Desarrollo de Producto is responsible for approving or rejecting a bus or its components to be produced and commercialized, by preparing and carrying out functionality and/or durability tests based on corporate procedures and issuing a report that validates the decision according to Daimler's criteria for product acceptance.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and execute tests necessary for validation of new projects and issue reports.
• Maintain certification and calibration of equipment used for testing within validity dates.
• Conceptualize, design, adapt, and document vehicle systems and components to meet project requirements.
• Plan and supervise visits to body manufacturers to ensure compliance with guidelines and quality of chassis-body assembly.
• Carry out procedures to obtain product homologation based on current legislation.
• Analyze and resolve problems in series units and in the field to meet project requirements.
• Negotiate technical specifications with suppliers for optimal performance of their components and improve system quality in the chassis.
• Maintain communication lines in different departments and plants of the Daimler Autobuses group at the engineering level.
• Support vehicle assembly for production preparation.
• Maintain the Integrated Management System to comply with certification programs.

Requirements:

• Education: Engineer in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronic, or related field.
• Experience: 2 years in the automotive industry, with previous experience in the engineering area.
• Specific Knowledge: Automotive mechanics/electrical, handling of measurement and diagnostic equipment, data analysis and handling.

Efforts Required: Travel for test execution, make public presentations, stay seated for long periods, get on and off buses for testing, and occasionally go under buses for inspections.
