Becton Dickinson in Baja California, Mexico, seeks a design engineer for automatic and semi-automatic equipment used in assembly, QA, molding, and packaging. You will work with electrical, PLC testing, and high-speed automation to deliver robust solutions.

Requirements include a Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical engineering degree, 2–3 years in similar roles, advanced English, and experience with AutoCAD/Visio/SolidWorks, PLCs, HMIs, and capital investment processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Ability to create drawings in AutoCAD, Visio or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs and motor drives.
• Financial basics for ROI, NPV, RFQ, RFP viability.
• Knowledge in IQ/OQ/PQ validations.
• Experience writing and promoting capital acquisition requirements.
• Project management, budgeting and scheduling.
• Teamwork and communication across levels.

Responsabilidades

• Design automatic and/or semi-automatic equipment for assembly processes, QA, molding, packaging.
• Interact with system integrators to propose innovative, state-of-the-art solutions.
• Participate in IQ/OQ/PQ validations and documentation.
• Develop design documentation for equipment (electrical, pneumatic, software, HMI, mechanical).
• Manage project program and report progress in forums.
• Support other areas in research and resolution of automation problems.

Job Description Adheres to all safety and quality requirements. Design of automatic and/or semi-automatic equipment for assembly processes, QA, Molding, Packaging, etc. It works as an expert in leakage, flow, electrical, PLC testing technology; high-speed automation, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and more. Selects and develops appropriate changes to existing technology for automated processes and equipment. Interact and negotiate with system integrators to propose innovative, state-of-the-art solutions. Knowledge and participation in the execution of Validations (IQ / OQ / PQ). Generates the design documentation of all the equipment developed in-house (electrical, pneumatic, software, HMI, mechanical, etc.). Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to ensure team quality. Manages the project program and will communicate progress in the respective requested forums using the formats assigned to such forum. Develops presentations of the projects in development. Responsible for supporting other areas of the organization in the research and resolution of problems related to automatic equipment and new technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronic or Mechanical Engineer 2 to 3 years of Experience in similar roll.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Ability to make drawings in software (AutoCAD, Visio, Solid Works, etc.).
• Knowledge of programmable control systems (PLC's, HMI's, Motor Drives, etc.).
• Basic financial knowledge to determine the viability of investment projects in terms of ROI, NPV, RFQ, RFP, etc.
• Knowledge in qualification of Medical Device processes: IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Experience writing and promoting capital acquisition requirements.
• Project Management Skills. (Budget, Program and Scope)
• Teamwork, project leader skills, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
