Responsabilidades

• Address safety issues promptly.
• Spend 75% time on production floor leading associates.
• Staffing and training plans within the department.
• Provide regular, timely, specific feedback to associates.
• Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.
• Implement BD Excellence components and programs within the manufacturing unit.
• Maintain open communication between production staff and management.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and involve HR when needed.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production schedules.
• Track production metrics and report progress to associates and management.
• Lead daily production operations.
• Other duties as required to support the business needs.

Responsibilities

• Implementar los componentes y programas de Excelencia en el Desarrollo de la Empresa dentro de la unidad de manufactura / Implement BD Excellence components and programs within the manufacturing unit
• Asegurar que exista un flujo de comunicación abierto entre los asociados de producción y la gerencia. Representar las inquietudes de los asociados de producción ante la gerencia, así como las inquietudes de la gerencia ante los asociados de producción. / Ensure an open flow of communication exists between production associates and management. Represent concerns of production associates to management, as well as management concerns to production associates.
• Asegurar la aplicación justa y consistente de las políticas y prácticas de la empresa y del departamento. Trabajar con los asociados para resolver problemas e inquietudes sobre las relaciones con los empleados; involucrar a RR.HH. cuando sea necesario. / Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices. Works with associates to resolve employee relations issues and concerns; involves HR when needed.
• Participar activamente y apoyar las actividades de mejora continua. / Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities.
• Colaborar con planeador de producción para establecer cronogramas de producción, monitorear el desempeño en comparación con el cronograma para el departamento. / Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production schedules, monitor performance versus schedule for the department.
• Realizar un seguimiento de los métricos de producción para garantizar que se cumplan los objetivos del departamento. Comunica estos métricos y el progreso a los asociados y la gerencia. / Track production metrics to ensure that department goals are being met. Communicates these metrics and progress to associates and management.
• Lidera las operaciones de producción diarias. / Lead daily production operations.
• Otras tareas según sea necesario para satisfacer las necesidades del negocio. / Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education and Experience

• Diploma de escuela preparatoria obligatorio / High School Diploma / GED: Required
• Licenciatura en ciencias (obligatoria) en administración industrial, administración de empresas, ingeniería o un campo relacionado / BA/BS Degree – Required – Science, Industrial management, Business, Engineering or a related field
• En lugar de un título de Licenciatura, se requieren 3 años de experiencia de supervisión en un entorno de manufactura / In lieu of an BA/BS degree, 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
• 3 años de experiencia en liderazgo de personal: Preferible / 3 yrs People Leading experience: Preferred
• 3 años de experiencia en fabricación: Obligatorio / 3 yrs Manufacturing experience: Required
