A leading technology company in San Luis Potosí is seeking an experienced IT support specialist. The role includes assisting employees with network connectivity, providing customer-facing support, and maintaining IT compliance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in IT and at least five years of experience in the field, as well as strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

General Summary

General Summary: Assist MTI employees in using computing and telecommunications resources by providing individual support, responding to phone calls, emails, and help desk staff requests. This includes assisting employees with network connectivity issues and advising customers on preventative maintenance, configuration, operation, and environmental factors that may impact product performance or the client's IT operation. Keep employees informed on the status of open issues; escalate complex issues to IT corporate. Document, track, and monitor the issue to ensure timely resolution through ticket management software. Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues; efficiently and recognize the proper course of action; and provide individualized training as needed for any IT resource. Provide a customer-facing approach in network administration, server, client workstation, and Windows desktop IT support at assigned MTI locations. Ensure uniform and standardized desktop and engineered products and technologies; provide guidance; and encourage the use of MTI standard products and policies.

  • Supports the company's mission, vision, values, and goals in the performance of day-to-day activities.
  • Supports and complies to the company IT Polices.
  • Ensures adherence to audit and documentation compliance standards.
  • Provides a technological environment to the plant that optimizes IT technology investments and supports all necessary business processes.
  • Ensures excellent customer service levels and meets both internal and external customer expectations.
  • Gives support 24/7 to the plant and conducts specific maintenance during non-productive hours.
  • Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA safety procedures required to perform daily work activities in a highly active manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (e.g., Quality Policy Manual, Change Control, Procedures, ISO, etc.)
  • Support all employees on IT issues.
  • Act as a liaison between IT corporate and the plant.
  • Implement innovative and effective IT technology activities.
  • Maintain and secure confidential IT information.
  • Responsible for monitoring IT foreign trade regulations.
  • Manage IT control systems and legal requirements.
  • Optimize, organize, and plan the preparation and distribution of hardware.
  • Responsible for IT monitoring and support for C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism).
  • Ensures that the entire procurement process complies with corporate policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • An Associates or bachelor’s degree in computer systems or information technology or its equivalent, is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in the IT environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced mobile environment, supporting many users with disparate knowledge levels.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience using desktop software packages, specifically Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office, and applications, including teaching/demonstration, troubleshooting, and using advanced feature sets.
  • General knowledge of networking technologies and basic network troubleshooting skills.
  • General knowledge of common office technologies (fax, phones, copiers, printers, mobile devices, barcode scanners, label printers, projectors, basic PLC, etc.)
  • Certified to install copper network cable.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of standard practices and management systems in the manufacturing industry.
  • Desirable knowledge of different supply chain systems.
  • Ability to understand complex production projects and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism).
  • Desirable knowledge of logistics processes.
