Schneider Electric is seeking an Industrial Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development from concept to implementation, ensuring protection, efficiency, and sustainability.

You will drive packaging design for new and existing products, collaborating with Product Development, Supply Chain, and suppliers while focusing on cost optimization and adherence to standards. Travel up to 15% is required.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 5+ years in Packaging Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in packaging validation and industrialization.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead packaging design, development, testing, validation, and implementation.
  • Develop single-use and returnable packaging systems.
  • Collaborate with Product Development for NPD initiatives and launches.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to optimize packaging performance and flow.
  • Work with suppliers to evaluate materials and prototypes.
  • Support packaging-related CAPEX/OPEX evaluations and cost optimization.

At Schneider Electric, we are looking for an Industrial Packaging Engineer who is passionate about developing innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective packaging solutions that support our manufacturing and supply chain operations. In this role, you will lead packaging development projects from concept through implementation, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure products are protected, efficiently transported, and aligned with our sustainability goals.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the design, development, testing, validation, and implementation of packaging solutions for new and existing products.
  • Develop both single‑use and returnable packaging systems that meet operational, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Development teams to support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and product launches.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to optimize packaging performance, transportation efficiency, and material flow.
  • Work closely with suppliers to evaluate materials, develop prototypes, and implement packaging solutions in production environments.
  • Support packaging‑related CAPEX and OPEX evaluations and contribute to cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure packaging documentation, standards, testing requirements, and product records are maintained accurately and in compliance with company processes.
  • Partner with Sustainability teams to drive environmentally responsible packaging strategies and solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in Packaging Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading cross‑functional projects
  • Experience in packaging validation, qualification, and industrialization activities.
  • Background working in manufacturing, product development, or distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or related graphic design tools is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Preferred
  • Industrial packaging design.
  • Experience with packaging design tools such as ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, Creo (ProE), or similar software.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) / New Product Development (NPD).
  • Packaging sustainability initiatives.
  • Supply chain and logistics optimization.
