Flex intends to spin off SpinCo and is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on productivity, labor standards, and process optimization in a high-volume manufacturing setting in North Flex. Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, you will drive improvements across labor utilization, layout, and cost control, ensuring efficient operations for the new entity.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operational Excellence, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading teams of engineers and technicians in high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of work measurement systems, labor standards development, time studies, methods analysis, and workforce optimization.
  • Experience conducting capacity analysis, line balancing, staffing models, labor utilization studies, and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Expertise in facility layout design, workflow optimization, material flow analysis, and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience driving cost reduction, waste elimination, and operational efficiency projects.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing production costs, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, resource allocation, inventory control, and manufacturing execution processes.
  • Experience developing management control systems, financial planning tools, cost analysis models, and operational reporting systems.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes to increase throughput and reduce operational constraints.
  • Experience partnering with Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives and new product introductions (NPI).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data-driven decision-making methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing reporting platforms.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Industrial Engineering Manager located on Flex North.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Operations the Industrial Engineering Manager Responsible for managing a team of industrial engineers working on increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.

What a typical day looks like:

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
