Valeo is seeking an Industrial Engineering Trainee to gain hands-on experience optimizing processes in our manufacturing and logistics environments. You will work under mentorship to develop foundational industrial engineering skills through practical application.

The role emphasizes lean principles, data analysis, and collaboration with production, quality, and supply chain teams, with a 6–12 month internship and active student status.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, or related.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Prior internship or project experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Internship duration 6 to 12 months with active student status and ongoing medical insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing current production processes to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Support implementation of lean principles (5S, Kaizen events).
• Collect and analyze data on production cycles, resources, and waste.
• Participate in time and motion studies to optimize methods.
• Contribute to workstation/workflow design for ergonomics and flow.
• Help develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet goals.
• Learn and apply industrial engineering tools and software for simulation and scheduling.
• Prepare reports and progress presentations.
