VALEO NORTH AMERICA is seeking motivated CO-OP/INTERNS to join our industrial team. This internship offers hands-on experience across manufacturing and operational projects within a leading automotive supplier.

You will assist with process optimization, automation support, data collection and reporting, and collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams on new product introductions. Strong analytical skills and CAD experience are valued.

Formación

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong academic record.
• Basic understanding of industrial engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Prior experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or simulation software is a plus.
• Must be able to commit to the duration of the co-op or internship program.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the optimization of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of industrial automation systems and equipment.
• Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting to identify areas for efficiency improvement and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams on new product introductions and process validation.
• Conduct time studies, work sampling, and other industrial engineering analyses.
• Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Contribute to problem-solving activities and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Assist with facility layout planning and material flow optimization.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support industrial operations.
