Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking an Industrial Engineer to collaborate with Production, Mfg Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and scalability of high-speed cable and backplane assembly operations.

Responsibilities include developing labor standards through time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, and factory layouts. You will drive Kaizen initiatives and support line launches with strong data-driven insights.

Qualifications

Experience in high-volume manufacturing and process improvement.
Knowledge of labor standards, time studies, and line balancing.
Familiarity with PFMEA, SPC, Pareto analyses and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain labor standards via time studies and standardized work.
Perform line balancing, staffing analysis, and workstation optimization.
Create capacity models for labor, equipment, and space; identify bottlenecks.
Design production layouts and material flow to improve efficiency.
Lead Kaizen and 5S initiatives with measurable cost savings.
Support EVT/DVT/PVT and manufacturing transfers with capacity and headcount planning.
Maintain master data and dashboards in Excel and Power BI to monitor productivity.
Evaluate fixtures, automation, and error-proofing with business-case validation.
Provide hands-on support during line launches and demand changes.
Present productivity updates to leadership.
