Formación

  • Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing with strong analytical skills.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Apply Industrial Engineering concepts to improve product and information flow, define capacity, set up cost per unit, reduce complexity, and reduce costs optimizing resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain Actual Manufacturing Cost models
  • Updates Flexible Production Capacity analysis
  • Execute updates of productivity utilization projects into standards
  • Helps Mfg. to calculate Cost reduction by unit for projects
  • Owner of BOM accuracy, and earn hours
  • Sustains product / Cost structure in SAP
  • Support accuracy for Activity rates
  • Works with operation and SC to define planning capacity in SAP
  • Support manufacturing projects that link into SAP / PN structure
Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's in Industrial or other Engineering / Technical field of study
  • 2+ years of related experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to apply industrial engineering skills:
    • capacity analysis
    • cost modeling
    • implementation and analysis
    • cycle time reduction
    • line balance/staffing, work cell design
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks
  • Proficient English
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Sound decision-making and prioritization skills
  • Strong data analysis and statistical skills
Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Certified Green Belt
  • Data analytical software (SPSS, Minitab, SPC XL)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing excellence tools (AME, KT, Lean)
  • Strong Leadership Skills to effectively manage cross functional teams
  • Proficiency with key PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab/SPC XL, Visio, Mind Map)
  • Project Management experience
  • Self-motivated, independent, flexible, quick learner
