Flex in Guadalajara is seeking a Buyer Indirect to coordinate procurement for direct materials, components and equipment. You will manage supplier relations, place orders, track shipments, and ensure alignment with production plans to prevent shortages.

The role requires a BA/BS, intermediate English, and experience in material availability, end-to-end PO management, and cost reduction initiatives. Join a global procurement team driving value and efficiency.

Formación

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Intermediate English level.
• Experience Facilities or Engineering Background.
• Proven track record managing material availability to support production schedules (clear-to-build).
• Experience using Baan or SAP.
• Ability to manage demand changes through push in / push out execution.
• Strong track record in shortage mitigation and expedite management in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with end-to-end purchase order management.
• Demonstrated experience in cost negotiation and cost reduction initiatives.
• Experience working with suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Maintaining relations with suppliers.
• Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to production requirements.
• Receiving and handling confirmations.
• Checking and adjusting purchase orders according to production plan.
• Tracking shipments and expediting as needed.
• Regular weekly stock checks to avoid overstock.
• Minimizing obsolescence risk with weekly reports.
• Liaising with freight forwarders, warehouses, and coordinating transport.
• Resolving claims, debit/credit issues.
• Ensuring components are available for production needs on time.
• Reviewing requisitions and MRP output.
• Communicating with vendors for price, availability, and delivery schedules.
