Indirect Buyer

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories aligned with company goals.
  2. Manage procurement processes for indirect materials and services, including RFQs, negotiations, and contract management.
  3. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service criteria, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, maintenance, and finance to understand procurement needs and ensure supply continuity.
  5. Drive cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.
  6. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate procurement records and utilize ERP systems for order tracking and reporting.
  8. Perform cost analysis with a thorough understanding of cost drivers.
  9. Verify contractual language with legal advisers to draft contracts favorable to the company's interests and conditions.
  10. Evaluate supplier performance and stability, implementing improvements and corrective actions when necessary.
  11. Prepare and supervise documents such as requisitions, cost reduction spreadsheets, and industry trend analyses.
  12. Support activities related to new product or line launches.
  13. Prepare Purchase Orders in the company's ERP system.
  14. Collaborate with MRO warehouse management to define re-order points, safety stock, and inventory levels for indirect materials and spare parts.
  15. Follow up on purchase orders until delivery, ensuring complete and correct information transfer to finance.
  16. Ensure compliance with all security measures in materials areas and offices.
  17. Support cycle counts or inventories as needed.
  18. Uphold information security requirements (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability).
What Do We Expect From You:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related fields.

Experience and Capabilities:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
  • Preferably 5 years in the Automotive Industry.

Language: Fluent English

Software: ERP, Microsoft Office (Excel)

Procurement & Sourcing Skills: Strategic sourcing, TCO evaluation, RFQ management, contract negotiation, supplier selection.

Supplier Relationship Management: Onboarding, performance monitoring, SLA enforcement, development, conflict resolution.

Analytical & Financial Skills: Spend analysis, budget tracking, cost savings, vendor proposal evaluation.

Technical & Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with MRO, IT, logistics, facilities, understanding of maintenance and operational continuity.

ERP & Digital Tools: Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, LN, Excel, Power BI for procurement and analysis.

Compliance & Risk Management: Procurement policies, vendor risk assessment, understanding of ISO 14001, safety, TSAX, sustainability standards.

Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills, cross-functional teamwork.

Project Management: Managing timelines, coordinating multi-site or global contracts.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree (e.g., MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement).

Professional Certifications (highly valued): CPSM, CIPS, CPM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
