ABB en Monterrey, México, busca un Compra Indirecto para asegurar el suministro de materiales indirectos, MRO, consumibles y servicios para la planta ELSP (Smart Power).

Trabajarás de forma 100% on-site reportando al Planning & Fulfillment Manager, con 5+ años de experiencia, SAP y Excel, y habilidades de inglés avanzadas para negociar y coordinar con múltiples áreas.

Qualifications

• Bachelors en áreas afines y experiencia en compras/gestión de materiales
• Conocimiento de ERP (preferible SAP) para gestión de órdenes y reportes
• Inglés avanzado y habilidades analíticas
• Negociación y gestión de proveedores

Responsibilities

• Gestionar el proceso de adquisiciones de materiales indirectos, MRO, consumibles, repuestos, herramientas, PPE y servicios.
• Convertir requisiciones aprobadas en órdenes de compra con cumplimiento de políticas.
• Monitorear órdenes de compra y dar seguimiento a proveedores para entrega puntual.
• Negociar precios, términos y acuerdos con proveedores.
• Analizar cotizaciones para identificar mejor valor para el negocio.
• Coordinar con proveedores y partes internas para resolver incidencias.
• Apoyar la disponibilidad de inventario alineando compras con pronósticos y niveles de stock.
• Rastrear desempeño de proveedores y promover mejoras en costos y servicio.

Planning & Fulfillment Manager

As an Indirect Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our manufacturing facility by managing the procurement of indirect materials and services. You will be responsible for securing the right products and suppliers at the best value while ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and operational continuity.

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities, provide timely follow-up to internal stakeholders, and maintain strong communication across different functions while ensuring procurement activities are executed efficiently and accurately.

The work model for the role is: On site

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

This role is contributing to the ELSP (Smart Power) Business at our site in Monterrey 3.0, Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect materials, MRO supplies, consumables, spare parts, tools, PPE, and indirect services.
• Convert approved purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders while ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and policies.
• Monitor purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and material availability.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and agreements with suppliers while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Analyze quotations and supplier proposals to identify the best overall value for the business.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues, shortages, discrepancies, and service concerns.
• Support inventory availability by aligning purchasing activities with demand forecasts, stock levels, lead times, and operational priorities.
• Track supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on purchasing efficiency, service levels, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Materials Management, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience purchasing indirect materials, MRO supplies, consumables, and services.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, including purchase order management, inventory transactions, material planning, and procurement reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Proven negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or similar Supply Chain certifications are considered a plus.
• Highly organized and structured professional, capable of managing multiple stakeholder requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong prioritization, follow‑through, and communication skills, ensuring internal stakeholder needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
