Amazon Inbound/Outbound (IB/OB) Area Manager

Amazon is seeking a high-potential leader ready to make a significant impact in Amazon Operations as an entry-level manager. This role offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and master the tools, processes, and operations that make Amazon the most customer-centric company globally.

Role Overview: As an IB/OB Area Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates within a distribution warehouse environment. Your focus will be on motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed during each shift. Key responsibilities include maintaining safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement standards.

Understanding Fulfillment: Fulfillment involves completing customer orders through picking, packing, shipping, and delivery, aiming to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 50 Amazon Associates.
  2. Communicate policies effectively and act as the primary information source for the team, ensuring compliance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  3. Create and support recognition and communication programs.
  4. Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe work environment.
  5. Ensure procedures for building security and product loss prevention are followed.
  6. Partner with management to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  7. Develop performance goals to meet customer demand, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • At least 1 year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
