About the role of the In Room Dining Coordinator:

Responsible for answering phone calls and taking room service orders professionally, efficiently, and courteously. This role requires strong communication skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The Order Taker plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive an exceptional in-room dining experience.

What you will do:

  • Answer calls and take orders accurately, noting special requests or dietary restrictions, and communicating clearly with kitchen and delivery staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, including food and drink options, specials, and preparation times. Offer suggestions based on guest preferences.
  • Enter orders correctly into the system and confirm details with guests before processing.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and inform delivery staff of specific instructions.
  • Handle special requests like customizing orders or accommodating allergies.
  • Monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery and follow up on delays or issues.
  • Charge orders to guest accounts, process payments, and issue receipts as needed.

What you bring:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
  • At least 2 years of experience in In-Room Dining, Guest Experience, or a Call Center environment.
  • Preferred: 1+ year in a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work effectively in an office or call center environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with Micros or similar POS systems.
