Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to modernize and automate core infrastructure services in data centre and hybrid‑cloud environments. You will drive DNS, PKI, logging, and observability through IaC and GitOps, while scaling VM management and automation across global datacenters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a systems engineer or site reliability engineer in data center environments.
• Proficient with hypervisor technologies supporting OS and containers (VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift).
• Strong automation expertise with Windows and Linux VMs (Ubuntu, RHEL, Debian).
• Hands-on with IaC and config mgmt tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Support global datacenter hypervisor operations and VM management at scale.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks for core services.
• Apply GitOps for infrastructure configurations with PR-based changes.
• Lead architecture and automation of DNS, PKI, NTP, and logging observability.
• Design and maintain a centralized log aggregation and observability platform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra changes and deployments.
• Embed security/compliance across the service lifecycle, including secret mgmt and vulnerability scanning.
• Implement monitoring and dashboards and apply SRE practices to improve reliability.
