Job summary

KMS Technology in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with 10+ years of experience to own and modernize hybrid and on-premises infrastructure for a U.S. client in livestock equipment and manufacturing.

You will lead data center operations, network security, and storage architecture, coordinating remotely with local IT staff and vendors. The role includes on-call duties, on-site staff direction, and collaboration with leadership on strategic IT decisions, including

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems, network engineering or infrastructure administration.
• Experience leading physical data centers remotely and directing vendors.
• Strong virtualization expertise with Hyper-V and KVM (or RHV/oVirt).
• Senior administration of Windows Server and Linux distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of network design, VPNs, VLANs, routing, firewall policies.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain virtualization across data centers (Hyper-V, KVM).
• Administer Active Directory, GPO, file shares and enterprise storage (Pure Storage).
• Own backup/DR strategies using Bareos/Azure Backup or similar.
• Automate configuration with Ansible and scripts; maintain GitLab EE and other tooling.
• Design and manage network operations, VLANs, routing and secure VPNs.
• Lead on-site hardware planning with remote hands and vendors.
• Pilot on-prem Kubernetes clusters and self-hosted AI/LLM models.
