You will analyze market trends, negotiate terms, and guide a team of buyers and category specialists to execute plans aligned with brand goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in category management or strategic sourcing within retail.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and leadership.
• Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
• Experience with ERP and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and market share.
• Identify and source new products and suppliers, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and customer needs.
• Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and trend forecasting to inform category decisions.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms, and service levels.
• Manage the lifecycle of assigned product categories, from sourcing to inventory management.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to develop go-to-market plans.
• Monitor category performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and legal requirements in procurement activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of buyers and category specialists.
