Job summary

Vertiv Co in Monterrey, Mexico seeks an intermediate HVAC Test Technician to organize equipment and perform routine testing. You will report findings and adapt units with sound judgment while ensuring safe lab operations.

You will support engineers in developing test capabilities, analyze processes, and troubleshoot issues on test setups. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, and documentation to drive quality testing across projects.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate's Degree + 1 year OR at least 4 years' HVAC directly related experience.
• Brazing, piping, basic wiring skills.
• 208/230/460V 3-phase 60 Hz wiring.
• Instrumentation and low volt wiring.
• General mechanical skills and ability to read mechanical drawings for prototype builds.
• Must have good working knowledge and skills in testing related to temperature, pressure, and electrical property measurement.
• Good planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills are required.
• Good attendance
• MS Office experience helpful.
• Must be team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Set up test facility and instrumentation in response to general instructions.
• Operate in a testing lab environment safely and successfully.
• Organizes and maintains a safe, clean, productive lab space.
• Support and collaborate with engineers in activities to structure and develop system testing capabilities and products.
• Analyze and improve existing processes and designs, as required.
• Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
• Troubleshoot and correct issues.
• Assist in development of solutions or workarounds to resolve issues.
• Work with the engineering and QA teams to understand low-level functions within software or products.
• May assist QA in understanding/developing low-level functional and system integration tests.
• Conduct tests, analyze data and modify units within intermediate scope.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Participate in 5S improvement programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
