Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an HVAC Product Engineer for its Mexico operations. The candidate will implement product engineering initiatives, collaborate with global design centers, and work across plant departments to resolve design, quality, and process issues.

The role requires hands-on experience with new product introductions, engineering changes, and lean manufacturing, supported by strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Engineering change control processes, bills of materials, drawing revisions.
• Strong HVAC/thermal engineering background (Chillers preferred).
• English written and spoken communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of control systems and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with new product introductions and lean manufacturing.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Implement product engineering initiatives efficiently per policies and specs.
• Collaborate with global design centers to incorporate launches into specs and procedures.
• Work with plant departments to resolve design, quality, supplier, and process issues.
• Ensure manufacture release data aligns with global design standards and is up to date.
• Lead new product introductions and engineering changes; maintain master data, BOMs, drawings.
• Propose cost reduction projects and product improvements; support Kaizen events.
