Johnson Controls, Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Mechanical Product Engineer focused on HVAC equipment and systems.

You will design and release mechanical assemblies, update drawings and BOMs, and support prototype and testing activities to ensure manufacturability and compliance with HVAC standards. The role involves collaborating with design, production, CAD teams, and stakeholders to drive design releases, implement improvements, and sustain products.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical system design and development for HVAC products.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Creo, and Windchill.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC&R design, ASHRAE standards, psychrometrics, thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles.
• Experience with BOM creation, engineering changes, and mechanical drawing release.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design and support the development of complete HVAC product solutions, including applied equipment and related mechanical assemblies.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings, BOMs, and engineering change documentation.
• Review mechanical design requirements for components and assemblies such as AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, fans, dampers, diffusers, grills, and chilled beams, as applicable to the product line.
• Work with CAD and value engineering teams to develop 3D models and optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Coordinate with product design, production, and other stakeholders to move work through design release and implementation.
• Support prototype builds, testing, verification, and design improvements.
• Contribute to technical problem-solving, design clarification, and continuous product sustenance activities.
• Provide support on sheet metal parts, assemblies, and technical documentation as required.
