Resumen

Responsible for maintaining appropriate supplies and stock levels to meet manufacturing targets, both within cost restraints and consistent with supplier lead times. Responsible for the overall control of activities such as purchasing, materials planning and Production Control.
Responsabilidades

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Plays a key role in setting company strategy in order to ensure cost-efficient flow of materials within the company and is responsible for development of a world class supply chain management team to support Monterrey Plant business needs and future developments.
  • Responsible for the planning and management of the supply of materials required for the operational side of the business. Develop detailed production plans by product to meet customer requirements while optimizing materials/product flows.
  • Formulates and develops Materials strategies and policies and executes such plans to ensure continuity of supply across product range while attaining investment objectives. Principles of flow manufacturing technology are applied to support the lean manufacturing organization.
  • Build value-added relationships with key suppliers, supply management and plant area managers and act as key member of Monterrey Plant Management Team.
  • Maintain the appropriate supplies and stock levels to meet the Plant Targets of customer satisfaction in On-Time delivery versus client demand and the Inventory Turns Objective.
  • Establish strategies and processes to minimize slow moving and excess inventories.

Requirements:

  • Primary Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent with Master degree (MBA, etc.) desirable.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in manufacturing within the area of operations and materials management.
  • Emphasis in Lean Manufacturing, JIT concepts, Kanban Tools, MRP systems, warehouse management.

  • Demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet demanding targets.
  • Fluent in English
