Hubbell Incorporated Monterrey is seeking an Human Resources Manager to lead the plant HR function, overseeing employee relations, talent acquisition, training, and performance management. You will partner with Mexico COE and the HR Director to align local strategies with company-wide HR programs and compliance requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, English and Spanish fluency, and experience in manufacturing environments.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, psychology, industrial relations, human resources, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of leadership development, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness.

The Human Resources Manager is the site HR leader for Hubbell's Monterrey facility and reports to the Human Resources Director - Mexico. This role designs, implements, monitors, and continuously improves site HR strategies, programs, policies, and processes in alignment with the HR Directo and Mexico COE’s. The position provides hands-on leadership across employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, labor compliance, and HR systems, while anticipating longer-term workforce needs and trends.

  • Partner with the Human Resources Director for Mexico and Mexico COE’s to align Monterrey HR procedures, priorities, and people strategies with business needs and the broader Mexico HR strategy.
  • Serve as trusted advisor and Leadership coach to the plant manager, functional leaders, people managers, supervisors and HR Team. Guide leaders on their effectiveness.
  • Coach and develop leaders to become stronger people leaders.
  • Assess Leadership effectiveness and identify developmental opportunities.
  • Act as a role model and mentor to the HR team, developing their ability to operate as a credible HR business partner who can coach leaders, challenge and influence others.
  • Work closely with Mexico Centers of Excellence and corporate HR teams to ensure effective execution and control of HR processes and implementation of corporate programs.
  • Lead the employee relations and workplace environment strategy, including employee satisfaction, conflict resolution, employee recognition and guidance to leaders on employee issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican labor requirements and support audits and inspections involving STPS, IMSS, SSA, and other applicable authorities.
  • Coordinate recruiting, training and development, performance management, equal opportunity/diversity initiatives, and other core HR programs.
  • Manage employee terminations and employment contract rescissions in coordination with the Human Resources Director - Mexico and applicable requirements.
  • Coordinate employee opinion/engagement surveys and follow‑up actions that positively impact the business.
  • Create and participate in effective employee communication meetings and coordinate social and cultural activities.
  • Establish and maintain site HR policies and procedures consistent with company standards and Mexico HR direction.
  • Ensure effective operation of HR systems and personnel administration processes with all applicable HRIS platforms.
  • Prepare and control the HR department budget and authorize HR‑related requisitions within established authority.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports and provide timely information and analysis to the Human Resources Director - Mexico and business leadership.
  • Support ISO 9001:2015 audits and other applicable management‑system requirements related to Human Resources.
  • Participate in local industrial park and labor‑market meetings and maintain awareness of Monterrey labor‑market conditions, compensation trends, and employment practices.
  • Champion a strong leadership culture at the Monterrey facility, reinforcing leadership behaviors and expectations that align with Hubbell’s values, business strategy and Mexico people strategy.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of leadership principles, leadership development, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness, with demonstrated ability to coach managers and senior leaders.
  • Advanced emotional intelligence capabilities with demonstrated ability to apply EI in leadership coaching.
  • Strong executive presence and influencing skills with the confidence and credibility to respectfully challenge leaders, provide feedback and guide difficult people decisions and conversations.
  • Advanced English proficiency (approximately 90%) and fluent Spanish.
  • Strong working knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law and IMSS requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, teamwork, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Self‑directed, hands‑on HR generalist capable of leading the site HR function while partnering closely with Mexico COE’s and Human Resources Director - Mexico.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership and direction to assigned site HR personnel and related support functions. Final reporting structure will be based on the approved Monterrey organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel on business‑related trips; ability to move to various locations within the Company; ability to communicate; and ability to work on a personal computer or other related equipment as required.
