  • We are looking for an HSE&S Manager who will lead safety, environmental and sustainability programs at our Los Reyes Plant in Mexico to join our team of Changemakers. Does that sound like you?
About the job

As an HSES Manager at Nouryon, you will be responsible for driving safety, health, environmental, and sustainability initiatives at the site. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a safety culture, and leads continuous improvement efforts in HSE programs.

In your future role as HSES Manager you will
  • Develop, implement and manage HSE policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Ensure the site maintains environmental permits and complies with health, safety and environmental standards to protect operations and drive sustainable growth.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents
  • Manage and conduct safety audits and compliance checks to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure safe practices across the site
  • Drive sustainability efforts, monitor emerging regulations, and guide management to develop and implement environmental and safety practices.
  • Coordinate health, safety, and security training for all site employees and contractors, ensuring understanding and adherence to HSE systems and regulations.
  • Act as the Responsible Care Manager Representative and manage related activities
We believe you bring
  • Bachelor degree in a technical field (Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Science), or equivalent experience in Manufacturing industries
  • + 5 years of experience in the chemical industry, with specific knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), incident investigations and HSE compliance
  • Strong background in managing HSE compliance, including knowledge of local environmental permits and regulatory requirements
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong organizational , interpersonal and communication skills to engage staff and drive safety initiatives
  • Experience in Implementing ISO/RC 14001 and other environmental management systems
  • Ability to work in chemical plant environmental and willingness to wear safety equipment, such as respoirators and steel-toe-boots, when required
Great if you have
  • Certification as an HSES auditor or familiarity with HSE auditing process
  • Experience leading sustainability initiatives within a manufacturing or process industry
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)
