Primary Location: Zacatecas, MX; Cananea, SON, MX This position is mainly located in Cananea, Sonora MX or Irapuato, Guanajuato, with up to 50-70% travel to customer sites.

Introduction

We are seeking a HSE Supervisor to join our Market Area Sales and Service Mexico team. You will be responsible for ensuring the HSE performance of our operations complies with local and Metso standards through proactive implementation of systems, education, and training of personnel. You will work closely with location managers and provide advice, guidance, and support to employees. This position reports to the HSE Manager.

Team you belong to

You will join a team of HSE experts dedicated to providing solutions to the Sales Manager and customers. We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Sales Account Managers and Direct Customers. Our team culture focuses on delivering the best Solutions for customers and internal stakeholders. The team is based in Mexico.

What you’ll do

• Implement HSE strategies aligned with Metso and local standards
• Engage with customers to promote and improve safety practices
• Support the creation of a strong, proactive safety culture
• Advise local leaders on regulatory compliance and best practices
• Conduct audits, analyze risks, and recommend solutions
• Investigate incidents and lead efforts to prevent recurrence
• Train teams and champion continuous improvement
• Evaluate contractors and ensure high HSE performance
• Manage HSE documentation, permits, KPIs, and emergency plans

Who you are

• Experience in HSE leadership within industrial or mining environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English/French a plus)
• Ability to influence and motivate teams across locations
• Solid knowledge of local safety regulations and trends
• Proven skills in risk analysis, auditing, and reporting
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel frequently across customer sites in Mexico
