Hitachi Energy in Mexico is seeking a QHSE Coordinator to strengthen our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental performance. You will help maintain our integrated management system and promote a proactive safety culture across local operations.

You will lead audits, manage ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance, and collaborate with operations to embed QHSE into daily activities while supporting training and stakeholder engagement.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety, Quality, or related field.
  • Experience in Health, Safety and Environment within industrial, energy, electrical services, manufacturing, or project execution environments.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Advanced English and fluent Spanish.
  • Current DC-3 certifications in confined spaces, scaffolding assembly, working at heights, gas verification, industrial safety (supervisory level), electrical risk work, and NOM-031.
  • Current First Aid and Fire Prevention/Extinguisher Use certifications.
  • DC-5 External Training Agent certification.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate and improve the integrated management system aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and customer QHSE requirements.
  • Promote a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture across operations.
  • Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident prevention activities.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits, incidents, and nonconformities.
  • Monitor and analyze QHSE performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support training programs, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations and project teams to embed QHSE requirements into daily activities.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on QHSE standards and best practices.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety, Quality, or a related field.
  • Experience in Health, Safety and Environment within industrial, energy, electrical services, manufacturing, or project execution environments.
  • Experience working with electrical services, electrical infrastructure, power systems, substations, transformers, or related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental management, risk assessment, and legal compliance.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Advanced English and fluent Spanish.
  • Current DC-3 certifications in confined spaces, scaffolding assembly, working at heights, gas verification, industrial safety (supervisory level), electrical risk work, and NOM-031.
  • Current First Aid and Fire Prevention/Extinguisher Use certifications.(Customer requirement).
  • DC-5 External Training Agent certification.
