ABB is seeking an HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR transactions in Apodaca, Nuevo León. You will ensure accurate, timely processing while aligning with global HR standards and local regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes working with manufacturing teams, handling unionized personnel, payroll concepts, and employee relations. Weekend shift availability is required with Mon–Thu days off.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of HR Generalist and labor relations experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll concepts (LFT) and Internal Work Regulations (RIT).
  • Availability to work a weekend shift (Fri, Sat, Sun, 7 AM – 7 PM) with days off Mon–Thu.
  • HR experience within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience working with unionized personnel, handling workplace incidents, administering disciplinary actions, and managing metrics (turnover & absenteeism).
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to support other HR areas (e.g., events).
  • Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

  • Executing and delivering HR services in compliance with agreed business processes, KPIs and quality targets in a timely, accurate and customer focused manner, showing an end-to-end responsibility.
  • Acting as an expert in complex business cases/projects by offering operations expertise and knowledge and driving collaboration across different countries and functions.
  • Identifying deficiencies of existing business processes, taking responsibility for the correct handling of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and proactively recommending enhancements and/or simplification based on day-to-day experience.
  • Performing control tasks with autonomy, including 4-eye-check / SOX checks, data protection and country legal/regulatory compliance tasks.

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform day-to-day HR transactions for one or several assigned service lines or countries, while also managing complex and escalated tasks. Each day, you will ensure a high-quality customer experience by committing to complete, accurate and timely completion of HR transactions. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the globally set standards for HR operations and ensuring that the respective business processes adhere to the local legal and regulatory requirements.

The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in similar roles (HR Generalist & Labor Relations).
  • Knowledge of payroll concepts, the Federal Labor Law (LFT), and Internal Work Regulations (RIT).
  • Availability to work a weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 AM – 7 PM) with days off from Monday to Thursday.
  • HR experience within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience working with unionized personnel, handling workplace incidents, administering disciplinary actions, and managing metrics (turnover & absenteeism).
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to support other HR areas (e.g., events).
  • Handling complaints regarding transportation and the cafeteria; experience with onboarding.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
