Aon Corporation busca un Health Actuarial Team Manager para liderar proyectos complejos de salud, manteniendo contribución técnica activa y coach a un equipo de analistas en la Global Capability Center de Ciudad de México.

Requisitos: 7+ años en salud actuarial, Excel avanzado y experiencia en modelado IBNR, reservas y pricing. Se valorará capacidad de colaboración con equipos globales y experiencia en transformación de procesos.

Formación

  • Licenciatura en Ciencias Actuariales, Matemáticas, Estadística, Economía o Ingeniería.
  • Experiencia de 7+ años en trabajo actuarial de salud.
  • Capacidad de liderar proyectos complejos y coordinar equipos.

Responsabilidades

  • Dirigir analíticas actuariales complejas de salud (IBNR, reservas, pricing).
  • Revisar modelos y entregables asegurando calidad y cumplimiento.
  • Desarrollar planes de trabajo y supervisar progreso de equipo.
  • Impulsar mejoras de procesos y automatización.
  • Brindar coaching y formación continua al equipo.

Health Actuarial Team Manager

This is a hybrid role based in Mexico City, with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Mexico City office, in line with Aon’s Smart Working policy.

What the day will look like

You will be a senior technical leader within Aon’s Global Capability Center in Mexico City, acting as a bridge between individual contributor and people leader roles. You will lead complex health actuarial analyses, coordinate project delivery, and provide day‑to‑day oversight and coaching for a small team of actuarial professionals, while maintaining a significant hands‑on technical contribution.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Lead the most complexhealth actuarial modelingand analysis assignments (IBNR and reserve studies, pricing and rate development, actuarial value and funding evaluations, experience and trend analyses, budgets and projections).
  • Serve astechnical reviewer and subject matter expert, ensuring consistency and quality across models, assumptions and deliverables.
  • Develop work plans, assign tasks and monitor progress across your team and other Actuarial Team Managers on large or complex projects.
  • Review models, exhibits and analyses prepared by team members, providing structured feedback and ensuring compliance with actuarial standards, documentation requirements and internal controls.
  • Driveprocess improvement and automationinitiatives, contributing to reusable tools, templates and model libraries.
  • Provide ongoing technical coaching, support onboarding and training, lead knowledge‑sharing sessions and act as a role model for technical excellence and professional conduct.
  • Collaborate with Health & Benefits consulting teams, actuaries and operational partners across North America and other regions, presenting methodologies, assumptions and results to internal stakeholders and supporting client‑facing teams during renewals, RFPs, pricing studies and strategic projects.

  • Influence methodologies, tools and processes used across multiple client engagements, helping to standardize and improve how Aon delivers health actuarial work globally.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or another quantitative field, with7+ years of experiencein health actuarial work (insurance, employee benefits consulting or related disciplines).
  • Proven track recordleading complex actuarial projects or workstreams, coordinating and reviewing the work of other actuarial professionals, and mentoring/developing junior colleagues in global, cross‑functional environments.
  • Expert proficiency in Exceland health actuarial modeling (IBNR/reserving, pricing and rate development, funding/contribution strategies, forecasting and projection models), with strong ability to validate, reconcile and interpret complex datasets.
  • Significant progress towardprofessional actuarial credentials(SOA, IFOA, CONAC or equivalent) and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and knowledge‑sharing.
