Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. MX seeks a Senior Merchandising Analyst to lead merchandising strategies and financial planning aligned with corporate goals and the Operational Plan. You will drive performance analysis for merchandising teams, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize profitability.

You will mentor analysts and collaborate with supply chain, pricing, marketing, and category teams, presenting executive reports to guide senior leadership and support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering or a comparable field.
• 7+ years of experience in an analytical role with knowledge of retailing and merchandising.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Category management and understanding of the 4P’s of retailing.
• Graduate degree/MBA preferred (optional).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of merchandising strategies aligned to corporate goals and the Operational Plan.
• Analyze sales data, consumer trends, and market insights to evaluate merchandising performance.
• Mentor and develop a team of analysts and provide guidance on best practices in financial analysis and merchandising strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, merch directions, pricing, promotions, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with AZ goals.
• Create executive presentations and reports to inform senior leadership decisions and long-term growth.
