About the Job
We are hiring a Head of AI & Solutions Architecture to lead a small team of AI Engineers while staying hands-on with design and execution. This role blends technical leadership with systems delivery, making it ideal for someone who thrives on solution architecture, enforcing engineering standards, and aligning a team toward achieving business goals efficiently and effectively through clear technical goal setting and execution. You will design orchestrated workflows, build integrations across SaaS platforms, and establish observability practices to ensure quality and reliability.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and align AI Engineers to deliver scalable, schema-first automation and AI workflows
- Design and implement multi-agent AI workflows integrating LLMs with structured tools
- Own architecture for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, databases, and observability systems
- Guide solution ideation, prioritization, and execution of automation projects
- Establish coding standards, conduct reviews, and enforce quality across deliverables
- Implement error handling, audit logging, and SLA monitoring for orchestrated workflows
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical designs and roadmaps
- Stay hands-on by prototyping and shipping production-ready solutions
- Document architectures, standards, and runbooks for consistency and reusability
- Mentor and coach engineers, building collaboration and accountability
Must-Haves for the Role
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
- Proven success designing and shipping multi-agent LLM workflows (CrewAI, LangChain, AutoGen)
- Hands-on expertise with orchestration tools (n8n, Zapier, Make) including error handling and retries
- Strong API integration skills across SaaS platforms (Zoho, Slack, Deel, Workable, etc.)
- Experience implementing RAG pipelines to improve factual accuracy and reliability
- Proficiency in schema-first engineering (Pydantic, JSON Schema, or equivalent)
- Skilled in database and storage management (Postgres, Cloudflare R2, or comparable systems)
- Familiarity with observability frameworks (Phoenix, LangSmith, or Arize)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, including documentation
Nice-to-Haves for the Role
- Background in solution architecture for automation, recruiting, or RevOps workflows
- Familiarity with Chrome Extensions, PixieBrix mods, or HITL interface tools (ToolJet, Appsmith)
- Knowledge of dbt or analytics tools for data transformation and dashboarding
- Security best practices: secret rotation, redact-before-persist, and least-privilege policies
- Production deployment experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD pipelines
