Mission:

The Head of Agile Coaching will lead the organization's agile transformation strategy, guiding the Agile Coaching team and facilitating the evolution toward more adaptive, collaborative, and value-driven work models. This role is responsible for articulating the agile vision across the organization, progressively implementing it within technical and business teams, and aligning agile practices with innovation initiatives and AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Design and implement the organization's agile adoption and maturity strategy, ensuring deployment across different organizational levels.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Technology teams to define a clear agile transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives and AI-driven solutions.
    • Establish continuous evaluation frameworks to measure agile maturity, best practices, and organizational results, ensuring implementation and monitoring by the Agile Coaches.
  • Team Management and Talent Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the Agile Coaching team (junior, mid, senior), ensuring that each member effectively fulfills their responsibilities.
    • Establish continuous training, performance evaluation models, and career development plans, regularly tracking their execution.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement within the team and throughout organizational engagements.
  • Governance and Agile Scaling
    • Design, implement, and oversee agile scaling structures (SAFe, Spotify Model, LeSS, or similar), adapting them effectively to the organizational context.
    • Establish governance mechanisms, metrics, and impact reporting, actively ensuring compliance and monitoring by the Agile Coaching team.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Data, and AI leaders to integrate agile teams seamlessly, promoting effective synergies.
    • Define and ensure strategic guidelines for Jira usage, including standardized workflows, key automations, and executive reporting for decision-making purposes. Ensure these guidelines are consistently executed and their effectiveness monitored.
  • Cultural Change and Executive Engagement
    • Act as an ambassador for agile culture, promoting adoption across all organizational levels.
    • Facilitate alignment sessions and decision-making with business leaders, C-Level executives, and key sponsors, ensuring effective follow-up of agreed initiatives.
    • Lead and supervise agile principle adoption in non-technical areas (Legal, Compliance, HR), ensuring an effective and sustainable transition.
  • Success Metrics
    • Percentage of teams with clearly defined and updated Definition of Done (DoD) and Definition of Ready (DoR).
    • Average lead-time reduction and improved time-to-market in supported teams.
    • Percentage of teams continuously applying and reviewing agile metrics (CFD, WIP, throughput).
    • Project health and quality metrics.
    • Continuous improvement in delivery velocity of teams.
    • Value delivery velocity metrics.
    • Predictability (planned vs. actual deliveries).
    • Feature Cycle Time (from idea to production).
  • Language Requirements
    • Spanish: Native or fluent.
    • English: Intermediate or higher (technical documentation, international collaboration, and communication with global stakeholders).

  • Qualifications & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.
    • Extensive experience leading agile transformations, with a minimum of 2-3 years as an Agile Coach or similar leadership roles.
    • Proven experience in technology-focused organizations or consultancy firms delivering digital products or AI-driven solutions.
    • Hands-on experience in agile scaling frameworks (SAFe, Spotify Model, LeSS, Nexus).
