Hardware Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute detailed test procedures based on hardware specifications.
2. Produce comprehensive test reports and maintain lab equipment and environments.
3. Utilize your expertise in Digital and/or RF testing to troubleshoot and debug hardware.
4. Modify and develop scripts/software in C++, Python, and/or C# to enhance testing processes.
5. Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
6. Assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
7. Work on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
8. Develop test automation frameworks using Python, C#, C++.
9. Design and develop circuits for lab use, ensuring signal integrity performance of high-speed mixed signals.
10. Extend existing frameworks to support new test equipment and improve test coverage.

Experience:

2+ years in a lab environment with a focus on hardware test support in an R&D setting.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Digital and/or RF hardware debugging.
2. Hands-on experience with test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, Network Analyzers, and Call Boxes.
3. Strong coding skills in C++, Python, and/or C#.
4. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools like MSVS, SQL, Python Libraries.
5. Knowledge of circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
6. Knowledge of HW engineering fundamentals.

Education:

Technical Associate's degree or higher, or equivalent lab experience. A BSEE or equivalent is preferred.

Additional Skills:

1. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
2. Knowledge of 4G and 5G technologies is a plus.
3. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
4. Experience and knowledge of testing hi-speed digital circuitry and interfaces like DDR, PCIE, Ethernet, and USB.
