TLNT is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead electrical and electromechanical projects across the complete NPD lifecycle, from requirements through validation and production readiness.

The role emphasizes system-level technical ownership, cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, and delivering production-ready consumer products on-site in Monterrey.

Responsabilidades

• Lead hardware and electrical projects from concept through validation and production launch.
• Translate product and customer needs into system and electrical requirements.
• Support system architecture for electromechanical products including motors, sensors, and embedded systems.
• Coordinate activities across hardware, firmware, mechanical, quality, manufacturing and sourcing teams.
• Provide technical direction to external engineering partners and suppliers.
• Review schematics, PCB designs, and technical documentation.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks using DFMEA and risk assessments.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans at component, subsystem and system levels.
• Lead system integration, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Support prototype builds and manufacturing readiness for product launch.

We’re looking for a Hardware Engineer to lead electrical and electromechanical projects across the complete New Product Development lifecycle — from engineering requirements through system integration, verification and validation, and production readiness.

This is a role built on system-level technical ownership. Hands-on electronic design experience is valuable, but the focus here is technical leadership, product integration, risk management and end-to-end NPD execution. You’ll work alongside internal cross-functional teams, suppliers and third-party engineering partners to deliver reliable, production-ready consumer products.

What You'll Do

• Lead hardware and electrical projects from initial concept and requirements through validation and production launch.
• Translate product and customer needs into clear system and electrical requirements and specifications.
• Support system architecture for electromechanical products involving motors, sensors, controls, power electronics and embedded systems.
• Coordinate activities across hardware, firmware, mechanical, quality, manufacturing and sourcing teams.
• Provide technical direction to external engineering partners and suppliers.
• Review schematics, PCB designs, component selections and technical documentation developed internally or by third parties.
• Identify and mitigate technical and product risks using DFMEA, risk assessments and structured design reviews.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans at component, subsystem and system levels.
• Lead system integration, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities.
• Support prototype builds, design iterations, manufacturing readiness and product launch, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, safety, quality, cost and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status, risks, technical decisions and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately five or more years of relevant product-development experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading the complete NPD lifecycle, from requirements through V&V and production readiness.
• Experience developing electromechanical products that integrate electronics with motors, actuators, sensors or mechanical components.
• Strong system-level engineering and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience defining technical requirements and managing design risks.
• Knowledge of verification, validation, system integration and structured root-cause analysis.
• The ability to lead technical activities across multiple engineering functions and external partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Availability to work on-site in Monterrey.

Nice to Have

• Experience with consumer appliances, motor-driven products, power tools, HVAC systems, pumps, automotive systems or similar electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of motor controls, power electronics, embedded systems and electronic control systems.
• Experience with DFMEA, Stage-Gate development, design reviews, and product-safety or regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers or third-party engineering firms.
• Familiarity with PCB-design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, KiCad or Mentor Graphics.
• Experience supporting products through pilot builds, qualification and mass production.
